My journey to a healthier lifestyle started one day two years ago. I was not in the shape I wanted to be in, I was overweight, lacking energy and feeling sick and tired. This was affecting me in many ways, I was not enjoying the food I ate, I was not happy, and I was beginning to feel alot older than I was and it was a bit depressing. It was affecting my work, my social life, but most importantly it was negatively impacting my family.
I made the decision the next day to make a very important lifestyle change. I began to research many dietary theories online, I watched every documentary on food and health that I could find. In the first six months of changing my way of eating and basic lifestyle approach to food and fitness, I dropped my cholesterol by 43 points and felt 20 years younger.
As I went through these changes I made many adjustments to my diet. First I eliminated all animal products, sugar and caffeine. Gradually I added some animal proteins back into my diet as I was needing more protein for my workouts. I was approaching my 50th birthday and set a goal; my goal was to be in the best health of my life by the time I reached 50, I did achieve that goal with the love and support of my family.
By making these changes in my life I not only feel physically better, but my overall wellness is much improved. When you make these changes in your lifestyle you will see dramatic changes in your overall wellness, your energy levels increase, you think more clearly and you greatly reduce the risk of food related diseases such as obesity, cancer, heart disease, and type II diabetes.
All of the research ignited my passion for health and wellness and I wanted to learn as much as possible so I could take this passion and teach and coach others to live the healthy life we were all born to live.
I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized Health Plan that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
